| How to Book your
Wedding at Saint Andrews
Booking
A telephone booking establishes a
tentative time and date only. This is not a firm booking
and it will be displaced if not confirmed within one month. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required
when confirming this booking. On receipt of your deposit a
Wedding Kit is forwarded.
If you choose to get married at Saint Andrew's the Minister would like to meet with you
three times. Most couples also like a rehearsal in the week
prior to their wedding.
The first appointment is to get to
know you and to fill out the appropriate forms and begin to organise
the wedding service.
The second meeting focuses on what
marriage means for you and how you can make the most of it. This
meeting should be about a month before the wedding so that the
content of the service can be discussed and final arrangements made.
An invoice for the balance owing will
be forwarded to your home address.
The wedding rehearsal is normally
held during the week prior to your wedding. At this
meeting declarations are signed and witnessed.

Documents
The Notice of Intended Marriage Form
must be returned to the Minister at least one month before the date
of the wedding. Please bring this form to your interview as
well as the appropriate supporting documents (originals
please, no photocopies) your full Birth
Certificates, the finale Decree of Divorce if you have been married
before, the Death Certificate of your former spouse if you are a
widow or widower and if applicable, evidence of your Australian
Citizenship.
Original Birth Certificates are
required from both the bride and groom. The Notice of Intended
Marriage Form is to be signed by you in the presence of an
authorised witness to your signature.
Consent Forms are required when
either party is under the age of eighteen years. If a Consent Form
is signed by only one person, as in the case of a widowed parent,
evidence of this circumstance must be produced.
Marriage of a person under 18 without
the order of a Judge or Magistrate is invalid. Under no
circumstances can permission be given when both parties are under
marriageable age.
Confetti
The throwing of confetti and rice and
rose petals is
contrary to the Litter Laws and is forbidden by the City Council.
Please ensure that your friends and relatives are aware of this.
Flowers
Saint Andrew's will look after all
the floral arrangements for the church.
Music
Please contact the Church
Administrator so that arrangements with the Church Organist can be
made. These arrangements should be made at least 1 month prior to
the marriage ceremony.
Punctuality
As a courtesy to everyone it is
essential that you be punctual for appointments and your wedding. There
could be another wedding following your own or the Minister has other
commitments.

You are very welcome to capture your
important occasion on film or video, but some restrictions do apply.
