Social Justice Table
Sunday 4th November, the Social Justice Table returns for our November event.
So please visit us at morning tea next Sunday, after the 9.30 am service, to share in the wonderful selection of goodies that will be available for purchase.
This month we are supporting a very worthy cause – Disaster Relief in Sulawesi Indonesia.
On 28 September, a massive earthquake and tsunami hit the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.
The quake triggered a tsunami along coastal areas around Palu, killing more than 2,000 people and displacing roughly 70,000 from their homes. Hundreds of thousands have been affected and the death toll is expected to rise as the recovery work progresses.
More than 2,000 people have been confirmed dead, 5,000 remain missing and it’s estimated that 70,000 have been made homeless. The situation in Palu is chaotic and desperate as people have no food or water and medical help is limited for the many injured.
Uniting World has supported many projects in this area, and this has caused a devastating loss to the people and their livelihoods.
Uniting World is asking us to pray for their local staff and partners during this time, as they assess the impact and determine how they are best placed to serve.

Any help we can offer will be most appreciated.
